StadimData was founded with the aim to develop innovative, digital real estate solutions based on our own data, open data, AI/Machine Learning models and data visualisation tools that support our clients throughout the real estate life cycle. Our rapidly expanding team is composed of front-end and back-end developers, functional analysts, data engineers, data scientists and BI experts working in close collaboration with Stadim’s valuation experts.

Job Overview:  

StadimData, a forward-thinking real estate tech startup, is in search of a skilled Backend Engineer to join our tech-driven team. In this pivotal role, you will be dedicated to expanding and enhancing our APIs, utilizing a powerful stack that includes Node.js, Nest.js, and GraphQL, all within the Azure cloud environment. Your responsibilities will involve developing scalable and efficient backend solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our front-end systems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform's performance, security and reliability. Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement scalable backend solutions.  
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements. 
• Develop and maintain GraphQL and RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient and flexible data retrieval. 
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and reliability. 
• Integrate security principles in your day-to-day operations. 
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards. 
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend best practices. 

Your qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience. 
• Knowledge of Node.js, Nest.js, GraphQL and RESTful API’s is a plus 
• Strong proficiency in cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure) 
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgresql, MongoDB). Knowledge of data related technologies is a plus. (e.g., Databricks, DBT) 
• Solid understanding of API design principles. 
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git. 
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-code systems (e.g., Terraform) is a plus. 
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
• You are fluent in English, Dutch and/or French 

Our offices

• Antwerp - Our wide viewed open space is located in the heart of Antwerp, easily accessible and very contemporary. This is the main work location for the StadimData team.
• Brussels – Our very nice office on the Tour and Taxis site is the perfect spot to connect with the dynamic Brussels property world. This location provides us growth possibilities to further expand our team and explore more opportunities in Brussels and the Walloon region.
