The job

As a tech lead, we expect you to guide and coach our team of developers towards success and foster the principles of quality and reliability we stand for. Together with your team, you will decide on a vision and take ownership of the entire digital portfolio to support Stadim in its role as the most trusted real estate valuation consultant on the Belgian market.

As a tech lead (software focus), you will:

• Be in charge of all the technical aspects of the software development for all the different applications Stadim is developing and planning to develop over the coming years
• Take the decisions on all technical aspects regarding these software applications, the data platform and underlying algorithms
• Work hands-on, by contributing to the development of these applications (front-end and/or back-end), as well as reviewing and providing feedback on the work of other developers
• Align on functional requirements with the business and the product manager, and translate them into technical requirements
• Set up and manage the software engineering and machine learning processes
• Provide guidance to the team members and subcontractors to achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals

Your qualifications

• You have a strong technical background, for example through a master in computer science, engineering or statistics
• You have a strong experience (4+ years) in front-end and back-end development
• You have proficient knowledge of Javascript and at least one front-end framework (E.g. React, Vue.js, Angular) and a back-end framework (e.g. Node.js)
• You have a basic understanding of and are interested in machine learning and data engineering
• You have experience deploying software products on cloud infrastructure in a secure and scalable way
• You possess strong communication skills which helps you to communicate clearly with less technical colleagues
• You have strong problem-solving skills, and can independently find solutions to new challenges
• You are keen to learn new skills on a daily basis
